Church Outreach
In REACH, our teachers and volunteers step into classrooms, assemblies, and communities to share the love of Jesus with young people. Each week, they help students discover the joy of the Christian life and encourage them to stand firm in their faith — even in challenging school environments.
Our REACH teachers love sharing moments with partnering churches and community gatherings — celebrating how God is at work in local schools like Chatswood High School and Willoughby Girls High.
SUSIE WRIGHT
Simon Flinders interviewed Susie Wright at Willoughby Park Anglican Church on 30th Oct 2025, during the “Stories of Grace” segment. Susie, a REACH teacher at Willoughby Girls High School for the past three years, shared how she has seen God’s faithful work overcoming many challenges.
Enrolment numbers have increased by more than 50%, a clear answer to prayer. Beyond the classroom, Susie continues to invest in building disciples and training young leaders outside school hours — equipping them to live as followers of Christ.
How You Can Pray
She invites us to pray for more teachers to be raised up for 2026 and for a continued focus on sharing the Gospel in our schools.
ADAM JOHNSON
Recently, Adam was interviewed at Chatswood Baptist Church, where he shared the exciting work happening at Chatswood High School through Special Religious Education (SRE).
Scripture classes at Chatswood High have become a place where students are eager to explore life’s biggest questions. They are thinking deeply about who God is and what He has done through His Son, Jesus.
Adam shared an encouraging story of two students who burst into scripture class mid-lesson and insisted on hearing more about Jesus! After completing the necessary enrolment forms, these students have been attending classes regularly, asking thoughtful questions. Adam has also been receiving questions about church recommendations, resulting in one student visiting a nearby partner congregation. Another example of growing faith at Chatswood High School occurred during exam period: one student encouraged the entire class to stay behind after the bell to pray together for their upcoming maths exam.
Beyond these extraordinary stories lies a daily reality: every day at Chatswood High, whether in scripture classes or lunchtime groups, God’s Word is faithfully proclaimed. Students are learning more about Him, growing in confidence in their relationship with Jesus, and discovering His love in the midst of an academically driven environment.
How You Can Pray
Please continue to pray for the students of Chatswood High School. Pray that as they strive for academic success, they would also come to know God’s love revealed in Jesus Christ—and that their faith would be strengthened in the midst of their studies and life adversaries.
