About Our Curriculum

All teachers of SRE in NSW must use an approved curriculum. The Youthworks Think Faith curriculum has been written by experienced teachers from diverse contexts and is approved for use by a range of SRE providers.

The Think Faith curriculum is designed to help students learn at a deep level. Students are encouraged to ask questions, participate in classroom and small group discussions and activities.  The curriculum encourages students to articulate their personal views and reflections.

  • Curriculum – Think Faith is based on a six year curriculum built around four units of work per year. These units are guided by a set of essential questions that aim to engage students and encourage them to think, reconsider and act upon what they are learning beyond the classroom.
  • Educational – Think Faith utilises contemporary educational theory and provides a platform for quality teaching and learning that encourages students to use higher order thinking in their lessons.
  • Bible-based – The Bible is the foundation of all lessons in Think FaithThink Faith teaches the major events, concepts and doctrines of the Bible.
